for someone with a cousin who has autism i whole heartedly approve of this post. fucking win.
people who have the mindset like the one of this anon really piss me off. people wonder why society is so messed up and why children are becoming more violent and disturbed at a younger age, and it’s partially because of people like this. i can’t wait until next semester when i get to work with autistic children and understand them on a more personal level and as an educator. people need to be more accepting and then maybe the world would be a slightly better place than it is now.

I have known people through out my life who have had autism, and once in 2nd grade i saw a girl, i think her name was Gabby, get beat up and really hurt because of it. I stood up for her and got in the middle of two boys hurting a helpless girl. I got hurt too and the boys got into alot of trouble, but the little girl wouldn’t go out for lunch or anything all day forever and I felt so bad and wanted to hurt the boys again, she would always cry and that made me even more upset and sad until my teacher told me that hurting someone who hurt her wouldn’t solve anything and that the boys would one day realize their wrong, being in 2nd grade i was inpatient and made them talk to her and say sorry again, she just hugged one of them and he didn’t know what to do so he cried and ran to the bathroom. Everyday after he ran off he would say hi to her and on her birthday he brought her a cupcakes from home. Its amazing how a second grader could become so humble but people like this are taking a lifetime to learn their lessons.
